The Shrinking Of Treehorn by Florence Perry Heide

Essay by Tristen

Some people think this is a book about a boy who shrank. But I think it is about a boy who wants attention.

When Treehorn tries to tell his parents that he is shrinking, his mom brings up her cake. He tries to tell other people he is shrinking. His teacher just says there is no shrinking in her class.

Treehorn also tries to tell the vice principal he is shrinking but she just tells him to sign a form and see the principal that will save my time.

The author is trying to say that sometimes kids don’t get the attention that they want.
